Einleitung
Introduction
Es gibt 4 Gattungen und 23 Arten.
Füsiliere sind benannt nach den leuchtend uniformierten Soldaten des 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts.
Es sind reine Planktonfresser die in Schwärmen anzutreffen sind.
Sie werden je nach Art zwischen 10 und 60 cm lang.

Ein gelber Seitenstreifen, der vom Kopf bis zum Schwanz reicht.
Der Schwanz ist gegabelt und hat je einen schwarzen Streifen in den Lappen.

Variable-lined fusilier or Thin-lined fusilier

Tiefe: 1 - 25 m
Dieser Füsilier hat 4 - 5 gelbe Streifen und schwarze Schwanzspitzen.
Er lebt in Schulen im Freiwasser von Lagunen, geschützten Aussenriffen und Buchten.
Häufig mit anderen Füsilierarten unterwegs und gerne in der Nähe von Booten.
Da sie wenig scheu sind, kann man als Taucher gerne von ihnen umkreist werden.

It lives in schools in the open water of lagoons, sheltered outer reefs and bays.
Often travelling with other fusilier species and likes to be close to boats.
As they are not very shy, divers can easily be circled by them.

Gelber Seitenstreifen und rote Schwanzspitzen, lebt in gemischten Schulen in klaren Lagunen, Buchten und Außenriffen. Ernährt sich von Zooplankton.

Meist ist die untere Körperhälfte leuchtend rot.
In großen Schulen entlang tiefer Dropp-offs und Hängen.
