Einleitung
Introduction
Es gibt 5 Gattungen und über zwanzig Arten.
Bei den Skorpionsfischen sind die Feuerfische die spektakulärsten.
Sie haben sehr lange Rückenflossenstrahlen und stark vergrößerte Brustflossen.
Alle Arten haben Giftstacheln und ein Stich erzeugt extreme Schmerzen, gefolgt von Taubheit.
Je nach Art werden sie zwischen 12 und 40 Zentimeter lang.

Among the scorpion fish, the lionfish are the most spectacular.
They have very long dorsal fin rays and greatly enlarged pectoral fins.
All species have venomous spines and a sting causes extreme pain, followed by numbness.
