Einleitung
Introduction
Es gibt rund 20 Arten.
Igelfische können sich im Falle eines Angriffs aufblähen.
Aber anders als die Kugelfische haben Igelfische noch viele Stacheln die den Körper bedecken. Daher versuchen nur wenige Fische ihn zu fressen, außer dem Tigerhai, aber der frisst eh alles.

Der Körper und die Körperseiten haben ein helles bis dunkelbraunes netzartiges Muster, und drei bis vier großen Flecken.
Die Iris ist goldgelb und die Pupillen mit irisierenden blaugrünen Sprenkeln.
Ihre Stacheln sind immer starr aufgerichtet.
Bewohnen Riffe und schwimmen gut getarnt langsam in Bodennähe.
Bei Annäherung ziehen sie sich in schützende Löcher oder Spalten zurück, und schauen aus dem Eingang raus, wobei sie dann gut zu beobachten sind.
Bei Belästigung, blasen sie sich auf.

Der Körper weist oft Gruppen dunkler Flecken auf.
Feststehende Stacheln.
Tagsüber ruht er an geschützten Stellen, nachts sucht er im Freien den Boden nach Krebsen, Würmern und Mollusken ab.
Dieser hier hat sich, er sah uns zu spät, vielleicht geträumt :o) "aufgeblasen "
In dem Fall schlucken sie Wasser und blasen sich ballonartig auf, so können diverse Angreifer sie nicht fressen, da sie zu groß sind und im Rachen stecken bleiben.
Eines der kleinsten Familienmitglieder, sehr große Augen.

Oliv bis brauner Körper mit kleinen dunklen Punkten.
Ihre Pupillen haben blaugrüne Sprenkeln.
Scheu, zieht sich bei Annäherung in schützende Löcher und Spalten zurück, bläst sich bei Belästigung auf.
