Die Familie der Nesselfarne sind federartig und werden zwischen 5 und 50 Zentimeter hoch.
Viele nesseln sehr stark.

Gelblich bis bräunlich, oft massenhaft am Riff anzutreffen.

Maximale Länge ( Zweige ) 30 cm
Lebt auf toten Korallen und Geröll in einer Tiefe von 0,5 - 20 m.
Fängt Mikroplankton.
Sehr stark nesselnd, kann allergische Reaktionen mit Kreislaufkollaps verursachen.
