Introduction
There are eleven genera with more than 50 species.
Closely related to the dwarf perches.
Like to camouflage themselves, they look almost
like a white-mouthed moray eel and are thus protected from predators.
Length 1 to 30 cm per species.

Black body with many white spots,
the number of which increases steadily with age.
Lives in crevices and holes which it practically never leaves during the day,
only appearing at sunset.
