Malea Pomum

Brown striped snail

Maximum size: 9 cm +

The somewhat thick shell is egg-shaped and inflated.

It has a whitish base colour with yellowish square spots.

The end consists of 6 whorls, which are somewhat flattened.

The outer lip widens, especially towards the base, and forms a very thick,

convex edge towards the outside,

the outer part of which is wavy and the inner surface is provided with ten or twelve transverse,

distant teeth.

The inner lip consists of a smooth plate, convex and white,

which partially covers the body of the shell.

The colour of the animal is of a beautiful white,

marked on its perimeter with triangular flames of a purplish brown.

The tentacles are long, slender and pointed, with brown spots.
