Maximum size: 3.70 metres from one tip of the extremely long leg to the other.
Body diameter 37 cm.
They are found exclusively in the Pacific around Japan, at depths of 300 to 400 metres,
but migrate to shallower waters during the spawning season.
Omnivorous.
