Telescopium telescopium

Mud whelk

Maximum size: 8 - 13 cm

Depth: ?

Similar in description to many other Potamidiae snails,

the main difference being that it is the largest specimen of the family

and has a fold on the columella.

The shell is thick and heavy in relation to the snail itself.

The opening of the shell is perpendicular to the long axis of the shell,

creating the shape of a straight cone.
