Solche Tiere sind so gut wie nie auf Basis eines Fotos sicher zu bestimmen. Sie sind einfach zu stark mit allem möglich getarnt. Es ist kein Körperbau / besondere Merkmale zu sehen.
Sicher ist, dass es sich um eine Spinnenkrabbe, Familie Epialtidae, sehr wahrscheinlich eine Hyastenus sp.- Hydroid spider crab.
Möglich und relativ häufig dokumentiert sind zBp.
Hyastenus bispinosus
Hyastenus borradailei
Auch andere Arten möglich wie Lahaina ovatus....

Sie ist super in der Bestimmung von Meerestieren, aber hier stieß sie an ihre Grenzen.

Such animals can hardly ever be identified on the basis of a photo. They are simply too heavily camouflaged with everything possible. No body structure / special features can be seen.

What is certain is that it is a spider crab, family Epialtidae, most likely a Hyastenus sp. - Hydroid spider crab.

Possible and relatively frequently documented are e.g.

Hyastenus bispinosus

Hyastenus borradailei

Other species are also possible, such as Lahaina ovatus....

She is great at identifying marine animals, but here she reached her limits.

Versteckt sich zwischen Polypen von Weichkorallen.
Die Körperfarbe reicht von weiß, gelb bis rot oder rosa, je nach Farbe ihrer Wirtskoralle.
Die Krabbe tarnt sich durch das Anbringen von Weichkorallen-Polypen auf und am Panzer.
Am ersten Beinpaar sind kleine Krallen, am Körper größere Stacheln, diese sind durchscheinend mit rotem und weißem Muster.

Diese Maskenkrabbe heftet lebende Schwämme auf ihren Carapax und Beine (siehe Foto 2).

Auf Foto 1 ist sie "nackt".

Sie hat hellblaue bis purpurne Scheren mit dunklen Flecken.

In Riffen zu finden, wo sie ganz ruhig sitzen bleiben, wenn man sich nähert, ganz auf ihre Tarnung vertrauend.
