Einleitung
Introduction
Sie leben wie der Name schon sagt auf Anemonen, meist mit Porzelan - Anemonenkrebsen zusammen.
Am ersten und am zweiten Beinpaar befinden sich Scheren, mit diesen kneift sie Tentakel ihrer Wirtsanemone ab und ernährt sich von ihnen.

As the name suggests, they live on anemones, usually together with porcelain anemone crabs.
There are claws on the first and second pair of legs, which they use to pinch off the tentacles of their host anemone and feed on them.

Normalerweise lebt sie in Verbindung mit der Anemone Stichodactyla helianthus, oder gelegentlich auch mit Condylactis gigantea.
Im Allgemeinen durchsichtig und farblos, mit vielen kleinen orangefarbenen und weißen Flecken.

Thor dicaprio ( Dicaprio-Hohlkreuzgarnele )
Dicaprio's anemone shrimp or Squat anemone shrimp

In einer vorliegenden Studie wurde eine neue kryptische Art Thor dicaprio für die zuvor Thor amboinensis bezeichneten westatlantischen Populationen etabliert. Die neue Art unterscheidet sich von allen anderen Mitgliedern durch zwei Unterschiede im Farbmuster.
Die auffällige rot - weiße Bänderung der Antennengeißel scheint das Merkmal der neuen Art zu sein.

In a present study, a new cryptic species Thor dicaprio was established for the western Atlantic populations previously labelled Thor amboinensis. The new species differs from all other members by two differences in the colour pattern.
The conspicuous red and white banding of the antennal flagellum appears to be the characteristic of the new species.
