Einleitung
Introduction
Es gibt 12 Gattungen und 43 Arten.
Drückerfische haben ihren Namen durch einen speziellen Mechanismus in ihrer Rückenflosse.
Ein erster starker Stachel kann aufrecht gespannt werden, damit sich der Fisch in einer Riffspalte festklemmen kann, um nachts zu schlafen.
Der zweite etwas kleinere Stachel entspannt den ersten, wenn er gedrückt wird.
Fortpflanzung: Sie legen ihre Eier auf den Meeresboden in eine Mulde und bewachen sie bis zum Schlüpfen.
Die Eier werden sehr agressiv beschützt, sie greifen alles an, was Ihrem Gelege zu nah kommt.
Sonst sehr friedlich.
Je nach Art erreichen sie eine Größe zwischen 16 cm und 1 Meter.

Triggerfish get their name from a special mechanism in their dorsal fin.
A first strong spine can be stretched upright so that the fish can clamp itself in a reef crevice to sleep at night.

Die Spitzen ihrer Rücken- und Schwanzflossen sind lang ausgezogen.
Das Gesicht hat zwei blaue Streifen und vom Auge aus strahlenförmig verlaufende kleine Linien.
Ihre Körperfarbe variiert von lila bis blau, sowie von türkis bis grün.
Leibspeise: Seeigel.
Relativ scheuer Fisch, Annäherung sehr schwierig.

Dunkelblauer Körper und rote Zähne.
Meist in großen Schulen im Freiwasser, dabei Zooplankton jagend, schwer anzuschwimmen, da sie sich schnell in Riffspalten verstecken, wobei dann nur der Schwanz herausragt.
Sehr scheu.

Scheu, bei Gefahr flieht er in Höhlen.

Dieses Foto zeigt einen Juvenilen braunen Drücker, daher sind seine Farben noch nicht ganz ausgebildet.
Erwachsene Tiere haben einen schrägen gelben Streifen aus dem Mundwinkel nach hinten und einen weißen Ring auf dem Schwanzstiel.
