Introduction
Die Seefedern sind eine Ordnung der Blumentiere, welche die Sand- und Schlickböden in allen Weltmeeren besiedeln.
Sie leben meist in größeren Tiefen, nur in den Tropen findet man sie auch im Flachwasser.
Die streng symmetrisch angeordnete Polypenkolonie ist sehr zäh und kräftig gebaut.
Sie erinnert in ihrer Form an eine Feder.

They usually live at greater depths, only in the tropics are they also found in shallow water.
The strictly symmetrically arranged polyp colony is very tough and strongly built.
Its shape is reminiscent of a feather.

Deshalb werden sie sehr selten von Tauchern und Schnorcherln gesehen.
